Junkyard Datsun build packs Chevy V6 power

Junkyard Datsun build packs Chevy V6 power

Proof that with a bit of ingenuity and a hell of a video audience, you can shoehorn anything into anything else, the boys at Roadkill build a ratty Datsun with good ol’ GM power (and a little help from Ford).

They found themselves with a rusted-out 1971 Datsun 240Z. Sticking with six-cylinder power, though, they grabbed a 4.3-liter V6 out of a Chevy, and then a turbocharger from a Ford Diesel, thereby bridging the Ford vs. Chevy gap in one awesome Z.

The “Rotsun,” as it’s subsequently called, breaks down real quick, gets fixed, and now puts 400 horsepower to the rear wheels. Then it goes to Scottsdale, Arizona to beat—of all things—a Kia Rio. Watch and be entertained by other men’s shenanigans.
